Divine will ! Fate! Do you believe in those?
Well to be fair, i must say i was never a firm
believer... Just thanking God for good, and abusing Him for bad.... Just your
regular neighbor Joe I guess .But the following event gave me a new
perspective of life, at least maybe for a couple of months I guess. This
happened to me a couple of months ago.
My friend went shopping. I declined her offer to accompany her, but not before
placing my order. Yeah, i wanted a college bag. Roomy, black, and with no
cartoons! I had my image to keep... Well at least in front of others.
May be i p***ed her off. She did get me a bag though! A dented one! Now it was
not as huge as i mention it, but large enough to teach me this lesson! Never cross
the tigress( that is her nick name).Any ways, i need not tell you the rest of
the story... I humbly accepted the bag .
But let me tell you something, I don't think that bag with a dent was
intentional. Tige
can be impossible, but never revengeful. Yet better be safe than sorry. Thus decided
no more shopping orders for tige...
But that is not the real story. I and my dented black bag never
missed college. I have this ladies bike(my princess), who dutifully helps me on
road every day, at the rate of 20 km/h. Well I can’t drive fast. One fine
morning ,I was late as usual and a new road rule was laid. Helmet for Bikers!!!
Well I am the worst biker of all times! Without a helmet deafening me! But rules
are rules! So I was on with my princess and my bag and my helmet. On my way i
found that my bag was gone!
Well i guess, my dented blacky got angry too. He must have got it from his purchaser tige. Well i traced my way
back , half deaf with helmet & rest by fear! But guess what? There he stood
holding my bag. I never knew who he was, what he does or his name either! But he
found my bag. The dent made this Sherlock Holmes to deduce that the bag must
have fallen down from a bike. So he was waiting to seek the owner rather than
reporting it to cops!
I thanked him profusely for finding my bag. Now every day i bike along, with my
bag & of course helmet. My driving skills has improved(telling by the fact
that no one is hurt ,me included).now i no longer call my bag dented. It was
destiny that my bag was dented. Or i might have lost it that day with my
documents and all!
Many will say this
is ridiculous! But hey life is just a puzzle & not all is serious. Lessons of
life are simple yet complex. So finally I am a believer in fate now. I no
longer abuse God for anything unpleasant. Maybe there is some deep meaning
hidden under those sheets.
So i thank Him every day
for everything!
